In his debut as the brand’s newly appointed Contributing Art Director, artist and photographer Quil Lemons presents “Farm Boys Do It Better”—a playful yet radical capsule collection that draws from queer iconography, rural Americana, and the performativity of dress. Seamlessly blending his work as both designer and image-maker, Lemons conceptualized and shot the campaign imagery and short film, imbuing each frame with his signature visual tenderness and bold erotic wit. Sky High Farm Workwear is a mission-driven fashion label that reinvests all profits into its namesake nonprofit farm, which grows and donates fresh, organic produce to communities facing food insecurity. Founded in January 2022 by Daphne Seybold (formerly of Comme des Garçons) and artist Dan Colen, the brand channels its progressive ethos into high-impact collaborations that blur the lines between fashion, art, and activism. All Sky High Farm Workwear garments are produced by Dover Street Market Paris, the fashion production arm of Comme des Garçons, bringing a standard of craftsmanship and avant-garde integrity to every collection. “The inspiration for this collaboration stems from my desire to keep pushing the boundaries of what photography—and by extension, the photographer—can be,” Lemons shares. “Each image I create expands my world. While working across fashion and editorial spaces, I’ve often wondered what it would mean to design clothes that reflect my perspective from the inside out.” Crafted with the expertise and innovation of Dover Street Market Paris, the collection serves as both a sartorial self-portrait and an extension of Lemons’ artistic practice. Every garment reflects his instinct for texture, silhouette, and gesture—translating photographic intimacy into wearable form. “This collection is my fashion wish list made real,” Lemons continues. “It’s rooted in my personal style, my visual language, and my belief that clothing—like art—can be a site of transformation. The only limits are the ones we impose on ourselves.” “Farm Boys Do It Better” is a testament to Lemons’ capacity to merge image, narrative, and form. With this collection, Sky High Farm Workwear reaffirms its commitment to creative experimentation and social consciousness—proving that fashion, when done with intention, can feed both body and spirit.
